SCHOOL NEWS FOR WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2001

  On Friday, December 14, McKenzie Elementary School held its Citizen of the Month Program. Representative Mark Maddox was the speaker. The Citizens of the Month were Michael Tedder, Rebekah Watkins, Brice Webb, Kati Ferrell, Michael Keenan, Kayla Goodrum, Elizabeth Harper, Chelsey Taylor, Taylor Buckley, Angie Reyes, Magaly Ventura, Ivan Harris, Scotty Sam, Dalton Waddell, Joshua Hubble, Cullen Bullington, Megan Hickman, Brianna Simpson, Casey Gunter, Laura Kay Oakley, Brittany Clark, Angelique Teague, Rebecca Jones, John Johnson, Janna Pratt, Zac Jones and Bryce Jackson.

K-Kids collected canned foods Friday, December 14 at McKenzie Elementary School. The canned goods will be given to people in the McKenzie area.

On Wednesday, December 19 the Fun Run awards and prizes will be given. The sing-a-long will follow immediately. School will dismiss at 11:05 a.m. Students will return to school on January 3.

The speaker for this week was Haylee Snead from Mrs. Patti Witty's class. Haylee did a great job with the morning pledge and announcements.
