Randy Bell
1962-2002
HOLLOW ROCK: Mr. Randy Bell, 40, died Saturday,
August 3 at his home. Graveside funeral services were
conducted on Sunday, August 4 at 5:00 p.m. at the
Marlboro Cemetery with Brother Montie Gammill
officiating.
Mr. Bell was born April 16, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois to
the late Hurbert Lewis and Joyce Fay Jackson Bell.
Survivors include one brother, Gilbert Bell of Hollow
Rock; three stepchildren, Kellie Krypciak, John Krypciak
and Logan Krypciak; and several nieces and nephews.
Dilday Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Ophie Bush Chandler
1915-2002
MCKENZIE: Services for Ophie Bush Chandler, 86, were
at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3 at First Baptist
Church with burial in Union Academy Cemetery.
Mrs. Chandler, who was a retired postmaster at
McLemoresville and a salesclerk, died on Wednesday, July
31 at National Health Care Center.
She was born December 1, 1915 in McKenzie to the late
Robert Bush and Gertrude Mann Bush. She was a member of
First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Chandler; a son,
Phil Chandler of Hendersonville; two sisters, Evora
Bryant and Irene Barker, both of McKenzie two Brothers,
Austin Bush and Billy Ray Bush, both of McKenzie and two
grandchildren.
Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Pauline Huey
1925-2002
CEDAR GROVE: Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Huey,
77, were Thursday, August 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Pafford
Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with burial in Pleasant
Hill Cemetery in Cedar Grove.
Mrs. Huey, a homemaker, died Tuesday, July 30 at Hardin
County General Hospital in Savannah. She was a member of
Ridge Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Bobby Huey of Lexington
and Mr. Gerald Huey of Cedar Grove, seven grandchildren
and three great grandchildren.
Her husband, Lonnie Odell Huey preceded her in death.
Jerry Wayne Coffman
1956-2002
ATWOOD: Services for Jerry Wayne Coffman, 46, were
at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 6 at Immanuel Missionary
Baptist Church with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery near
Medina.
Mr. Coffman, a retired plumber, died Sunday, August 4 at
Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare in Jackson. He was a
member of the Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia Burnine Coffman; a
daughter, Stacy Michelle Coffman of Atwood; a son,
Michael Wayne Coffman of Atwood; his parents, W.B.
Coffman and Ruby Roe Coffman of Milan; three sisters,
Kay Smith of Union City, Rita Daniels of Trenton and
Patricia Coffman of Milan; three brothers, William
Coffman, Terry Coffman and David Coffman, all of Milan
and one granddaughter.
Abbie Jean Kelly Price
1937-2002
MCKENZIE: Abbie Jean Kelly Price, 64, died Saturday,
August 3 at Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center in
Huntingdon.
She was born October 1, 1937 to the late Abbie Loyd
Price and Nuga Alvalona McDonnald Price. She was a
member of Johnson Temple CME Church in McKenzie.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Price; a brother, Allen
Price, both of McKenzie; two sisters, Wilette O'Neal of
Chicago, Illinois; Opheia Hammer of McKenzie; and a
grandson.
Two sisters, Othelia Snead and Novella Price and a
great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Price preceded her in
death.
Services will be held at the Brummitt Funeral Home in
McKenzie on Wednesday, August 7 at 1:00 p.m. with the
Rev. Wilmor Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Mt.
Olivet Cemetery.
Granville Maness
1935-2002
BUENA VISTA: Services for Granville Maness, 66, were
at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 1 at Nebo Baptist Church
with Rev. Tim Maness and Rev. Bobby Sanders officiating.
Burial was in the McCauley Cemetery.
Mr. Maness died on Tuesday, July 30 near his home.
He was born November 10, 1935 in Henderson County to the
late Oscar and Ollie Dee Maness.
Survivors include his wife, Innetta Maness; two
daughters, Kay Ellis and Jada Maness, both of Buena
Vista; three sons, Danny Maness of Bruceton and Dwayne
Maness and Scott Maness, both of Buena Vista; four
sisters, Edna Woods of Lexington, Eva Noles, Doris Noles
and Bonnie Thompson, all of Buena Vista; a brother,
Onnied Maness of Lexington; 10 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
His first wife, Josephine (in 1980); a sister, Alphis
Davis and three brothers, Dennis Maness, Junior Maness
and Agie Lee Maness, preceded him in death.
Ralph Ray Moore
1944-2002
LAVINIA: Funeral services for Ralph Ray Moore, 57,
were Sunday, August 4 at 2:00 p.m. at Replogle-Lawrence
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Latham's Chapel
Cemetery in Gibson County.
Mr. Moore died on Thursday, August 1 at Vanderbilt
Hospital in Nashville.
He was born in Gibson County, educated in county schools
and was the son of the late Autis Ray Moore and Dovie
Frances Usery Moore. He was a Baptist in belief. He
served Gibson County four years as sheriff and then
moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where he was a security guard.
Surviving are a close friend, Linda Gilley Flowers of
Lavinia; two sons, Leroy Moore of Kernes, Texas and
Anthony Moore of Dyer; four sisters, Bonnie Sue Campbell
of Trenton, Fay Carey of Dyer, Pauline Reynolds of
Gleason, and Yvonne Ramos of Pontiac, Michigan; a
brother, C.L. Moore of Rutherford and eight
grandchildren.
A brother, Gene Moore, preceded him in death.
Jo Evelyn Watson
1951-2002
HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Jo Evelyn Watson, 51, died Tuesday,
July 30 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, August 1 at
1:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Brother
Rick Crossno officiating. Interment followed at Carroll
Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Watson was born December 3, 1950 in Carroll County
to the late O.T. "Red" and Johnetta Abbott Harris. She
was a homemaker. A sister, Dorothy Sullivan and a
brother, Mike Harris, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years, Roger Watson,
Sr.; one daughter, Rhonda Hurlbert of Huntingdon; three
sons, Roger Dale Watson of Trezevant, Brian Watson and
Gregory Watson, both of Huntingdon; one stepdaughter,
Tammy Gwaltney of McKenzie; two stepsons, Ricky Watson
of Nashville and Dean Watson of Paris; three brothers,
Bobby Harris of McKenzie, Ricky Harris of Huntingdon and
Jimmy Harris of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.
Teressa Jean Wells
1967-2002
Teressa Jean Wells, 35, of Gleason passed away on August
2 at McKenzie Methodist Hospital. She was the wife of
Marion Lafate Wells, Jr. and the mother of Marion Lafate
Wells, III, James William Wells and Elizabeth Jane
Wells, all of Gleason. She was the daughter of Mary Jane
Cahill of Henry and the late Jerry Christian of
Tiptonville.
She leaves behind three brothers, David Christian of
Henry, Billy Christian of Benton, Kentucky, Roger
Christian of McKenzie. One brother, Ricky Christian of
Martin preceded her in death.
She also leaves behind one sister, Becky Fryhover of
Henry and also her mother by marriage, Joyce Wells and
father by marriage Marion Wells, Sr.
Services will be held at McKenzie Church of God.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 6 at 2:00. The
funeral will begin that night at 8:00 p.m. The pastor
officiating will be Bro. Clarence Depew.
Brummitt Funeral Home will be in charge of the
