Doris Lois Blankenship
1944-2002
MCKENZIE: Mrs. Doris Lois Blankenship, 58, died
Saturday, July 27 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted on Monday,
July 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel
with Bro. Rusty Wilkins officiating. Interment followed
in the Liberty All Cemetery.
Mrs. Blankenship was born January 23, 1944 in Carroll
County to the late John Priest and Lois Lee Campbell
Goodrum. She was a custodian for the Carroll County
Court House and a member of the Liberty All United
Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Blankenship and James
Smith, both of McKenzie; three sisters, Evelyn Eubanks
of McKenzie and Sue Jones and Peggy Smothers, both of
Huntingdon; two brothers, Glen Goodrum of Huntingdon and
Danny Goodrum of McKenzie, three grandchildren and one
great-grandson.
Billy Blane Coleman
1938-2002
MCKENZIE: Services for Billy Blane Coleman, 64, were
Sunday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Academy Baptist
Church with Bro. Wendell Boyd officiating. Burial was in
Union Academy Cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Coleman, an employee of the Carroll County Health
Department, died Friday morning, July 26 at Baptist
Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
He was born July 16, 1938 in McKenzie to the late Mattie
Barker Coleman and Jamie Samuel Coleman.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Coleman; two
stepdaughters, Tina Mutters of Jackson and Lisa Thompson
of Milan; a son, Dennis Coleman of McKenzie; two
sisters, Iris Traywick of Huntsville, Alabama and
Willodean Carter of Huntingdon; three brothers, Gordon
Coleman of McKenzie, Horace Ray Coleman of Trezevant and
Jerry Coleman of Hialeah, Florida; six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
A son, Mitchell Coleman and a sister, Elizabeth Kelley,
preceded him in death.
Katherine Frame
1915-2002
CEDAR GROVE: Funeral services for Katherine Frame,
87, will be on Thursday, August 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Little
Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lavinia with burial
to follow in Cloverdale Cemetery in Milan.
Mrs. Frame died at Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Huntingdon on Saturday, July 27. She was the daughter of
Joe Thomas and Lonie Carter Thomas.
Survivors include a sister, Renia Seats, three
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Viewing will be Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. at Bond Funeral
Home in Milan with visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. For

Thomas Little Harder
1929-2002
TREZEVANT: Services for Thomas Little Harder, 72,
were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23 at Brummitt Funeral
Home with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Burial was in
Trezevant Cemetery.
Mr. Harder died Saturday, July 20 at Life Care Center in
Bruceton.
He was born September 15, 1929 in North Little Rock,
Arkansas to the late Elsie Pauline Argo and Thomas
Bailey Harder. He was a member of First Baptist Church
in California, an air force veteran and worked for the
U.S. Postal service for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Caroline Harder; two
daughters, Robin C. Davis and Kathy Wafford, both of
Madera, California; three sons, Thomas T. Harder of
Fresno, California, Jerry A. Harder of Selma, California
and Chris A. Davis of Bandera, Texas; nine grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.
Jack P. "Little Jack" Jones, Jr.
1970-2002
CEDAR GROVE: Mr. Jack P. "Little Jack" Jones, Jr.,
32, died Wednesday, July 24 at the Baptist Memorial
Hospital in Huntingdon. Funeral services were conducted
on Friday, July 26 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dilday Funeral
Home Chapel with Brother Robert White officiating.
Interment followed in Jamison Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born February 25, 1970 in Shelby County.
He was a member of the Hollow Rock United Methodist
Church. He graduated from Huntingdon High School in
1989. He was an avid Diamond Jaxx fan and he and his
father were season ticket holders attending all the home
games.
Survivors include his father, Jack P. Jones, Sr. of
Cedar Grove and his mother, June Boyd of Westport.
Kathleen Dinwiddie Pate
1909-2002
MCKENZIE: Services for Kathleen Dinwiddie Pate, 91,
were at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28 at Greater Enon
Baptist Church with the Rev. James B. Stewart
officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Trinity
Funeral Home in Paris was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Pate died Thursday morning, July 25 at Oak Manor
Health Care Center in McKenzie.
She was born January 6, 1909 in Hico to the late Ethel
Bigham and Harb Bigham. She was a member of Greater Enon
Baptist Church where she served as vice-president of the
Missionary Society and sang in the choir.
Survivors include three sons, James Odell Pate of
McKenzie, Thomas Pate and Bobby Pate, both of Chicago,
Illinois; nine grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
Her husband, R.B. "Scrap" Pate and a daughter, Gladys "Gya"
Patton, preceded her in death.
Jimmy Dale Reynolds
1950-2002
GLEASON: Services for Jimmy Dale Reynolds, 52, were
Saturday, July 27 at Beech Springs Baptist Church with
the Rev. Bob Copeland officiating. Burial was in Beech
Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Reynolds, an employee at CSI, died Wednesday, July
24 at his home.
He was born March 29, 1950 in Milan. He attended Beech
Spring Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Sharle Ann Breitkreutz
Reynolds; a daughter, Cloria Ann Reynolds of Gleason,
his parents, Emmitt A. Reynolds and Pauline Culver
Reynolds of Gleason, a brother, Roger Reynolds of Sharon
and a sister, Vicky Babb of Gleason.
A brother, Danny Lee Reynolds and a sister, Linda Fay
Morris prececed him in death.
Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason was in charge of the
arrangements.
Dr. Teddy Gene Riddick
1943-2002
MCKENZIE: Dr. Teddy Gene Riddick, 59, died Thursday,
July 25 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie. Funeral
services were held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27 at
Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. Priestley
Scott officiating.
Dr. Riddick, the son of the late Dennis and Rozelle
Williams Riddick, was born April 29, 1943 in Friendship.
He was a Doctor of Chiropractic and also a member of the
McKenzie Rotary Club, the Chiropractic Association and a
naval veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Tena Riddick; two daughters,
Jill Shearon of Bolivar and Nancy Carter of
Hopkinsville, Kentucky; one son, Mark Ford of Lenoir
City; two brothers, Max Riddick of Memphis and Dennis
Wayne Riddick of Glasgow, Montana; three sisters, June
Greenway of Memphis, Gail Bales of Atlanta, Georgia, and
Freddie Ussery of Jackson, Mississippi; five
grandchildren, Joseph Carter, Jacob Carter, Jonathan
Carter, Mikey Crosnoe, and Jessica Smith and one
great-granddaughter, Angel Crosnoe.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations
be made to the Tennessee Chiropractic Association.
Lousie Carter Rigsby
1909-2002
HEMET, CALIFORNIA: Mrs. Louise Carter Rigsby, 92,
formerly of Carroll County, died Monday, July 22 at the
Hemet Valley Health Care in Hemet, California. Funeral
services were conducted on Saturday, July 27 at 10:00
a.m. in the Dilday Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Martin
officiating. Interment followed in McLemoresville
Cemetery.
Mrs. Rigsby was born August 3, 1909 in Carroll County.
She was a schoolteacher at McLemoresville Elementary
School for 30 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Rigsby King of
Hemet, California; a sister, Madaline Adams of
Huntingdon; two grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Charles Jean "Gene" Totty
1914-2002
BRUCETON: Services for Mr. Charles Jean "Gene" Totty,
88, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 23 at Bruceton
First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve
Whitworth officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Methodist
Church Cemetery in Hustburg.
Mr. Totty, a retired manager of Jordan Furniture and
Hardware, died Sunday, July 21 at Life Care Center in
Bruceton.
He was born June 1, 1914 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to the
late Charles Harrison Totty and May Loretta Jean Totty.
He was a member of Bruceton United Methodist Church and
a World War II army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jordan Totty; two sons,
Mark Totty of Camden and Steven Totty of Knoxville; and
four grandchildren.
Grace Mary Wynkoop
1916-2002
HOLLOW ROCK: Mrs. Grace Mary Wynkoop, 85, died
Sunday, July 21 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 25 at
3:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
Gary Jones officiating. Interment followed in the
McAuley Cemetery.
Mrs. Wynkoop was born September 7, 1916 in Potsdam, New
York. She was a homemaker and a member of Prospect
Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Deniker of
Hollow Rock and Lillian Ramariz of Detroit, Michigan;
one sister, Hesper Massey of Independence, Missouri; one
brother, Sterlin Cobb of Texas; five grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren.
