Huntingdon's Mustangs scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a district title from the Tigers by a single run on Thursday, May 9. Huntingdon's eleven runs were scattered throughout the game while the Tigers came on strong in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings to score ten.

In the first inning, after Will Spellings (who pitched five innings) managed to retire the Tigers first three batters, Huntingdon came to bat with Adam Parish reaching base to lead off and then Justin Truett hitting a homerun to score two runs for the Stangs. The Tigers Rick Sturdivant then managed to get the next three batters out a Huntingdon took a 2-0 lead.

The Tigers got a couple of base runners in the second inning, but were unable to put any runs on the board. Jacob Smothers hit a homerun in the bottom of the inning and Huntingdon led 3-0 after two. Neither team had a base runner or run in the third inning. After having three up and down in the top of the fourth inning, the Tigers faced hitter Brian Nellett, who led off for Huntingdon with a double and ultimately scored, giving the Mustangs a 4-0 lead after four innings. In the top of the fifth inning, the Tigers bats began to make some noise as Patrick Willis hit a double with one on base and ultimately scored with John Ulderich getting a single in the inning. After four and one half innings, Huntingdon led 4-2.

In the bottom of the fifth inning however, the Mustangs made some noise of their own as Sturdivant gave up singles to Andrew Maddox and Smothers and a homerun to Nellet as Huntingdon's lead improved to 8-2.

The Tigers next three batters flew out to center, right and second base, leaving the Tigers with a 10-8 lead.

Parish hit a fielder's choice and the Tigers failed to get either base runner out. A pitch hit Truett and then on a single by Tippitt, two runs were scored and Huntingdon won the game 11-10.
