J.W. Anderson
LEXINGTON: Services for J.W. Anderson, 58, were at
11 a.m. Wednesday, December 22, at Reed's Chapel Funeral
Home. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Benton
County.
Mr. Anderson died Sunday, December 19, at Vanderbilt
Hospital.
He retired from the Lexington Police Department in 1997
at the rank of sergeant. He was a law enforcement
training firing arms instructor, Policeman of the year
1991, and was vice-president of the Tennessee Law
Enforcement Training Officers Association 1991-1992.
Survivors include his wife Joy Hendrix Anderson; three
sons Michael Anderson and Mark Anderson both of
Lexington and Johnny Anderson of Jackson; and six
grandchildren.
Kizzie Bond
1915-2004
MCKENZIE: Services for Kizzie Bond, 89, were at 4
p.m. Thursday, December 23, at Brummitt Funeral Home
with Bro. Harrell Nation officiating. Burial was in the
House Cemetery in Atwood.
Mrs. Bond, a retired factory worker, died Tuesday,
December 21, at McKenzie Regional Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1915 in Huron to the late Sarah
Ford Glover and William Glover. She was a member of
First United Methodist Church in McKenzie.
There are no immediate survivors.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Bond and a
daughter Delores Crocker.
Bro. Thomas E. Clement
1946-2004
MCKENZIE: Funeral Services for Bro. Thomas E.
Clement age 58, were Friday, December 24, at 2:00 p.m.
at Eastwood Baptist Church in McKenzie with Revs.
Richard Allen and Jeff Crabtree officiating. Burial was
in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Bro. Clement, a former EMT for 21 and half years, and a
retired Baptist minister, died Wednesday night, December
22, at his residence in McKenzie. He was a native of Big
Sandy, born May 5, 1946 to the late Louie Elvis Clement
and Sarah Jane Nolen Clement. Bro. Clement was a member
of Eastwood Baptist Church, a member of Tennessee Farm
Bureau and AARP.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Parkhill Smith
Clement, one daughter, Rhonda L. Clement Tippitt of
Camden; two step-daughters Sharri O'Daniel of Paris,
Carla Smith Lawrence of Trezevent; one step-son, David
Smith of Dresden; two sisters, Janie "Jean" Payne and
Deborah Williams both of Big Sandy; three brothers,
Buford Clement of McKenzie, James Clement of Paris,
Nolan Clement of Camden; and two grandchildren.
Donald Lee Hutchison
1935-2004
MCKENZIE: Funeral services for Mr. Donald Lee
Hutchison, age 69, were Monday December 27 at 2:00 p.m.
in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home with
Revs. Dennis Trull and Vance Rushing officiating. Burial
was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in McKenzie.
Mr. Hutchison died Friday night December 24. He retired
from the U.S. Navy after 21 and one half years of
service during the Korean War and Vietnam conflict and
retired from the Henry County Sheriff's Department. He
is a native of the Pea Ridge Community of Carroll
County.
He was born July 25, 1935, to the late Cecil Gentry
Hutchison and Esther Bessie Burress Hutchison. Mr.
Hutchison was a member of the McKenzie First Baptist
Church, member of the U.S. Navy Fleet Reserve, member of
the VFW and was a Mason.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Marie Allen Hutchison,
one daughter Donna Watson of Marietta, Georgia, two
sons, Tim Hutchison of Jackson, and Mike Hutchison of
McKenzie, one brother, Jimmy Hutchison of Raleigh, North
Carolina, one sister Louise Harper of Vincennes,
Indiana, and eight grandchildren.
Ricky Kellebrew
PARIS: Ricky Lee Killebrew, 45, died Sunday,
December 26, at his home. McKenzie survivors include
Jessie "Ga Ga" Killebrew, aunt and cousins Jean (Joe)
McKinnie and Kim (Eddie) Moss.
He is also survived by a daughter, Rachel Killebrew his
father, Hershel Killebrew, both of Paris and two
half-sisters, Kathy (Wayne) Jackson of Orlando, Florida,
and Rita Barnett of Nashville.
Arrangements are incomplete at press time. McEvoy
Funeral Home, Paris, is in charge of the arrangements.
William Mebane "Billy" Perritt
1941-2004
MCKENZIE: Funeral services for Mr. William Mebane
"Billy" Perritt, Age 63, were Monday December 27th at
11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie
Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Ward officiating. Burial was
in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Perritt a retired employee from Republic Building
Products, died Wednesday, December 22, at the
Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a native
of McKenzie born September 14, 1941 to the late Dallas
Clayton Perritt and Ina Mae Mebane Perritt.
He is survived by his wife Peggy Reaves Perritt, a
daughter Sherry (Joey) McGee of Huntingdon, a son
William Jeffrey Perritt also of Huntingdon, five
grandchildren: Jennifer Perritt, Clayton McGee, Katy
McGee, Jayden McGee, Hayley McGee, and his brother and
sisters in law: Eugene (Barbara) Reaves of Lansing,
Michigan, Joe (Betty) Reaves of Paris, Cecil (Betty)
Reaves of Trezevant, Bobby (JoAnn) Reaves of Paris,
Charles Reaves of McKenzie, Gladys (Danny) Brethauer of
Lansing, Michigan, Marsha Reaves of McKenzie, Wanda West
of Houston, Texas, and Bobbie Jean Perritt of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by a brother Marshall Clayton
"Buddy" Perritt and a sister and brother-in-law (Ernie)
Skinner and Jerry Reaves.
Dorothy Jean Wallace
1944-2004
Mrs. Dorothy Jean Wallace, 60, died Friday, December 17,
at the Regional Hospital of Jackson. Funeral services
were conducted on Wednesday, December 22, at 11:00 a.m.
in the East Visitation Room of Dilday Funeral Home.
Interment followed in the Parkers Crossroads Cemetery.
Brother Frank Lenex officiated the services.
Mrs. Wallace was born June 29, 1944, in Carroll County,
to the late David Wesley and Vernie Mae Anderson. She
was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by two
brothers, Herbert Anderson and Cecil Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wallace, two
daughters, Hope Fields and Linda Hood, both of McKenzie,
three sons, Thomas Mayo of Huntingdon, John Mayo of
Camden, Robert Hood of McKenzie, four sisters; Wanda
Edwards, Gracie Fuller, both of McKenzie, Virginia
Swafford of Indiana and Shirley Kemp of McLemoresville;
9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
James Randall Miller
1956-2004
HUNTINGDON: Mr. James Randall Miller, 48, died
Friday, December 24 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Huntingdon.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, December 27
at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.
Interment followed in the O'Conner Cemetery. Bro. Jackie
Smith officiated the services.
Mr. Miller was born May 16, 1956 in Carroll County. He
was a welder by trade and an Army veteran. He was
preceded in death by his father James Henry Miller.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Miller of
Huntingdon, one daughter, Jessie Miller of McKenzie, one
son, Greg Miller of McLemoresville, two brothers, Ricky
Miller and Michael (Pee Wee) Miller both of Huntingdon,
and one grandson.
Oneita Willodean Longmire
1921-2004
HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Oneita Willodean Longmire, 83, died
Saturday, December 25 at the Jackson Madison County
General Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday,
December 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral
Home, Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Bro. Jimmy Stewart and Bro. Scott Carter will officiate
the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room
of Chase Funeral Home after 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday and
from 8:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
Mrs. Longmire was born February 24, 1921 in Westport, to
the late Lee Roy Eubank and Myrtle Hilliard. She was a
member of a Friendship Baptist Church in Medina. She was
a housewife. She was preceded in death by one brother,
Oran Eubank.
She is survived by her husband, Lemual Longmire of
Huntingdon, two daughters, Patsy Wakefield, Rita Dugger
both of Huntingdon, two sisters, Frances Williams of
Buena Vista, Geraldine Robinson of Hollow Rock and one
brother, Buron Eubank of Peoria, Illinois; 3
grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great
grandchild.
Ella Jane Graves
1922-2004
HUNTINGDON: Mrs. Ella Jane Graves, 82, Saturday,
December 25 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, December 28
at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.
Interment followed in the Christian Chapel Cemetery.
Bro. Logan Fortner officiated the service.
Mrs. Graves was born February 17, 1922 in Carroll County
to the late Henry Alfred Ledsinger and Mary Lize Morgan
Ledsinger. She attended the Church of God of Prophecy,
and a retired secretary from the Chicago Title Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Graves in
1942, five sisters, Betty Wiley, Annie Vinson, Pauline
Lunsford, Vergie Vinson, Gladys Baker, two brothers,
Morgan Ledsinger and T.J. Ledsinger.
She is survived by two sisters Margaret Pendergrass of
Huntingdon and Hazel Stray of Waylon, Michigan, and
several nieces and nephews.
Lillie Inez Stanford
1918-2004
Mrs. Lillie Inez Stanford, 86, died Saturday, December
25 at Jackson Madison County Hospital.
Funeral services were Tuesday, December 28 at 12:30 p.m.
in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed
in the Spain Cemetery. Bro. Robert Barger officiated the
service.
Mrs. Stanford was born June 8, 1918 in Savannah. She was
a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Odom Stanford and one son Dwayne Stanford.
She is survived by two daughters, Cora Sue Ashley and
Elsie Moore both of Cedar Grove, three sisters, Mae
Comfort and Fay Jenkins both of St. Louis, Missouri,
Delma Beasley of Beaumont, Texas, and one brother, James
Ruff of Celina, California; eight grandchildren, twelve
great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Verlie Marie Coble
1920-2004
Mrs. Verlie Marie Coble, 84, died Friday, December 24 at
Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, December 28,
at 3:00 p.m. at the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Interment followed in the Church Cemetery. Eld. Bill
Davis officiated the service.
Mrs. Coble was born February 15, 1920 in Mabelvale,
Arkansas to the late James Homer Pryor and Carrie
Highfill Pryor. She grew up near McKenzie and attended
Lankford and Fields Schools. She was a homemaker, a
retired seamstress for Henry I. Siegel in Trezevant, a
member of the Leach Seventh Day Adventist Church. She
was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Earl Coble,
three brothers, Thomas Wesley Pryor, James Porter Pryor,
William Curtis Pryor, two sisters, Vera Mae Pryor
Reeder, and Virgie Lee Pryor Bryant and one son-in-law
Arvil Pickett Fry.
She is survived by three daughters, Marie Coble Fry of
Cedar Grove, Ardelle Coble Marx of Fredericksburg,
Virginia, Darlene Coble Figard of McKenzie, two sons
William Cecil Coble of Huntingdon and James Earl Coble
of Trezevant, and four grandchildren.
William Henry Seeger, Jr.

MCKENZIE: Funeral services for Mr. William Henry
Seeger, Jr. age 85, Tuesday, December 28, at 2:00 p.m.
at the Hinesrinaldi Funeral Home in Silver Springs, MD
Burial was in the Parklawn Cemetery in Rockfield, MD.
Mr. Seeger, a retired self-employed tax consultant, died
Monday December 20, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in
Huntingdon. He is a native of Baltimore, Maryland, born
April 22, 1919 to the late William Henry Seeger, Sr. and
Ruth Meginiss Seeger. Mr. Seeger was Methodist in faith.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Noftsker Seeger of
McKenzie and two sons Rick W. Seeger of McKenzie and
Larry L. Seeger of Baltimore, MD and two grandchildren.
Eurshal Earl Sutton
1922-2004
MCKENZIE: Funeral services for Mr. Eurshal Earl
Sutton, age 82, were Friday December 24 at 11:00 a.m. in
the Cedar Avenue Chapel of McKenzie Funeral Home, with
Revs. Dennis Beal, Vance Rushing and Claude Prince
officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh Cemetery.
Mr. Sutton, retired from the Brown Shoe Company and also
worked in construction, a carpenter and a shoe
repairman, died Wednesday night December 22, at his
residence. He was a native of Waverly, born September
15, 1922 to the late Eurshal Lee Sutton and Ida Frances
Meredith Sutton. Mr. Sutton was a member of Enon Baptist
Church, a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, and served
with the civilian conservation corps in Lawrenceburg.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy "Dot" Purvis Sutton
of McKenzie, one son Dennis (Sally) Sutton of Memphis, a
step-son Gary (Susan) Condrey of Memphis, two sisters
Anita Jones of Knoxville, and Katherine Webb of
McKenzie, a brother James Ray Sutton of Milan, five
grandchildren, a step-grandson and six
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife
Violet Louise Wilford Sutton, two sons Roger Sutton and
Allen Faye Sutton and a sister Frances Talley.
Linda Carol Campbell
1950-2004
BRUCETON: Mrs. Linda Carol Campbell, 54, died
Sunday, December 26, at the Jackson Madison County
General Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December
30, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Campbell Cemetery in
Bruceton. Bro. Larry DePriest and Bro. Bobby Jordan will
officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room
of Chase Funeral Home after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday and
from 8:00 a.m. until time of services on Thursday.
Mrs. Campbell was born February 2, 1950 in Humphreys
County to the late Oscar Dewey Lewis and Mary Lavern
Tibbs Lewis. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas George Campbell
of Huntingdon; three daughters, Lisa Carol Platt of
Springhill, Florida, Tracy Lynn Wortham and Pamela Ann
Wortham, both of Huntingdon; one son, David Lee Campbell
of Bruceton; and twelve grandchildren.
Moses Tharpe
1917-2004
CAMDEN: Moses Tharpe, 87, died Sunday, December 26,
at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December
29, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Funeral Home with burial in
New Hope Cemetery in Mansfield.
He was born March 15, 1917 in Mansfield to the late Doss
Tharpe and Lottie Combs. Mr. Tharpe worked in
construction for several years until his health began to
fail.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Tharpe; a
son, Moses Lee Tharpe; three sisters, Lillie B. Tharpe,
Victorine Tharpe and Yuda Tharpe; and four brothers,
Surcie, George, Dan and Issac Tharpe.
He is survived by four nieces, Alma Adkisson of Camden,
Mary Webb of McKenzie, Lillie B. Diggs and Estelle
Foster, both of Paris; and several other relatives. |
