  James Thomas Gallimore
1944-2004
MCKENZIE:
Services for James Thomas Gallimore, 60, were at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26 at McKenzie Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Moore and Frank Criswell officiating. Burial was in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gallimore, retired owner of McKenzie Radiator Shop, died Tuesday, August 24 at his residence.
He was born February 14, 1944 in Martin to the late Geneva Thomas Gallimore and R.C. Gallimore. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Fisher Gallimore; two daughters, Genie Goodman and Tammy Cathey, both of McKenzie; a son, Tim Dyal of McKenzie; five sisters, Phyllis Bensinger of Chicago, Illinois, Jenette Langett of Conrow, Texas, Janice Heath, Reba Butler, both of Arkansas and Doris Hall of McKenzie; a brother, Gary Gallimore of Chicago, Illinois and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Gallimore.

Jerry Glynn Reaves
1943-2004
MCKENZIE:
Services for Jerry Glynn Reaves, 61, were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 30 at McKenzie Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Pence officiating. Burial was in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Reaves, an employee of Tower Automotive in Milan, died Saturday morning, August 28 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born February 13, 1943 in Dresden to the late Mary Mosella Johnson Reaves and John Lenard Reaves. He attended Meridian Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha Cantrell Reaves; two daughters, Rena Schlegel and Jeri Lawrence, both of McKenzie; a son, Forest Reaves of McKenzie; three sisters, Peggy Perritt of McKenzie, Gladys Brethaver of Lansing, Michigan and Wanda West of Houston, Texas; five brothers, Charles Reaves of McKenzie, Cecil Reaves of Trezevant, Bobby Reaves and Joe Reaves, both of Paris and Eugene Reaves of Lansing, Michigan and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Adele Skinner.

Samuel Harris Finley
1937-2004
OAKLAND:
Services for Samuel Harris Finley, 66, were held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 3 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Collierville. Interment followed in Memory Hill Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Finley, a claims adjuster for MLG&W died on Tuesday, August 31 at Methodist Germantown. He was Chairman of the Board for Wesley Senior Ministries, Treasurer of Wesley Housing, a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church and a member of the Tennessee Claims Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Newton and Madge Estes Finley and two brothers, Paul Finley and Luke Finley, all of McKenzie.
Survivors include his wife, LaVonne Finley of Oakland; three daughters, Kim Ritchey of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Traci Mayer of Brighton and Holli Ruhl of Eads; one brother, Bob Finley of McKenzie and three grandchildren.

Kitty Byford Turner Beville
1947-2004

PARIS: Services for Kitty Byford Turner Beville, 57, were held on Sunday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. at McEvoy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Helen Knepper and Bro. Alan Trull officiating. Interment followed at the Palestine Cemetery.
Mrs. Beville died on Friday, August 27 at her residence. She was a homemaker and a Methodist by faith.
She was born March 27, 1947 in Tipton County to the late Johnson Dallas Turner and Gladys Mae Byford Turner.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence Odell Beville; one daughter, Tracy Lynn Beville Knott of Paris; one son, Talvin Christopher Beville of Nashville; three sisters, Shelby Turner Cowsar of Drummonds, Betty Turner Ritchie of Dallas, Texas and Elane Turner Kee of McKenzie; one brother, Eddie Turner of Henry and two grandchildren.

Mary Lucille Richee
1910-2004
GLEASON:
Services for Mary Lucille Richee, 94, were at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2 at Gallimore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keith Sumner officiating. Interment followed in Hopewell Cemetery.
Mrs. Richee died on Tuesday, August 31 at the Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden.
She was born July 29, 1910 in Gleason to the late Moody Crocker and Avie Hornbeck Theiss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Richee and one son, Jimmy Richee.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Cathy Reed of Lilburn, Georgia, Ronnie Schaeffer of Ringgold, Georgia and DeAnn Schaeffer of Chattanooga and two great-grandchildren.

Alfred Monroe Newton
1924-2004
MCKENZIE:
Services for Alfred Monroe Newton, 80, were at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 6 at Brummitt Funeral Home in McKenzie with Bro. J.W. Hays officiating. Interment followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Newton, retired from the Department of Safety and a farmer died on Saturday, September 4 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was a member of the 157th Infantry, 45th Division during World War II and became a POW after his capture at Anzio, Italy. He was a member of the VFW.
He was born in McKenzie on April 19, 1924 to the late Willie Penney Newton and J.A. Newton III. One brother and two sisters preceded him in death, James Albert Newton and Onola Mullins and Henrietta Johnson.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Sydnor Newton; one daughter, Tracey Best of Jackson; two brothers, William “Pee Wee Newton and Bob Newton, both of McKenzie; and two grandchildren, Nicholas Best and Matthew Best.

Ruth Lyon Hillsman Hester
1916-2004
TREZEVANT:
Services for Ruth Lyon Hillsman Hester, 88, were at 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 6 at Brummitt Funeral Home in Trezevant with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Interment followed in Trezevant Cemetery.
Mrs. Hester, a retired office worker for the Milan Arsenal and a homemaker, died on Friday, September 3 at her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trezevant.
She was born in Trezevant on April 15, 1916 to the late Lillian Lyon Hillsman and Earle W. Hillsman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Hester; one brother, John R. Hillsman and two sisters, Jane H. Moffett and Elizabeth Hillsman.
Survivors include two nieces, Ann Rollins of McKenzie and Susan Hillsman of Maitland, Florida.

Paul Glenn Sutton
1919-2004
HUNTINGDON:
Services for Paul Glenn Sutton, 84, were conducted on Tuesday, September 7 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Walker officiating. Interment followed in Carter’s Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Sutton died on Saturday, September 4, at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born September 21, 1919 in Carroll County to the late Chelsea Bly and Molly Hester Scott Sutton. He had retired from two jobs, Sunbeam Company in Chicago and Suburban Propane in Huntingdon. He was a member of the Carter’s Chapel Methodist Church, served on the Carroll County Democratic Committee and was a World War II army veteran. He was preceded in death by two wives, Ruby Hayes Hutton and Mammie Martin House Sutton; one daughter, Rebecca Sutton McKinley; one sister, Reynell Sutton Watson and three brothers, Hollis Sutton, Clifford Sutton and Algie Sutton.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Ginger House of Huntingdon and Cindy Chance of Statesboro, Georgia; two sisters, Mary Evelyn Carroll of Henry and Margaret Pearson of Huntingdon; two brothers, John Sutton and Tye Cobb Sutton, both of Huntingdon; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Jessie Maudine Barnett
1923-2004
HUNTINGDON:
Services for Jessie Maudine Barnett, 80, were on Sunday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntingdon Church of Christ with Bro. Bill Goodpasture officiating. Interment followed in the Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Barnett died on Thursday, September 2 from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident with her sister, Charline Warbritton.
She was born September 6, 1923 in Carroll County to the late Arthur Marion and Ruby Springer Roark. She was the retired former owner of Barnett’s Restaurant in Huntingdon and had also worked for the Huntingdon Primary School Cafeteria. She was a graduate of Clarksburg High School and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Waldon Barnett; one daughter, Donna Herrin of McKenzie; one son, Jeff Barnett of Huntingdon; one sister, Jean Gooch of Burns; one brother, Eldon Roark of Nashville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Ruby Charline “Chunk” Warbritton
1920-2004
HUNTINGDON:
Services for Ruby Charline “Chunk” Warbritton, 84, were on Sunday, September 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntingdon Church of Christ with Bro. Bill Goodpasture officiating. Interment followed in Carroll Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Warbritton died on Thursday, September 2 from injuries she sustained in an automobile accident with her sister, Maudine Barnett.
She was born August 12, 1920 in Carroll County to the late Arthur and Ruby Spring Roark. She was a retired factory worker for Publix Shirt Corporation and did volunteer work for RSVP. She was a graduate of Clarksburg High School and a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Inus Holladay and Vida Gooch and two brothers, Laymon Warbritton and an infant.
Survivors include one daughter Janie Hardy of Huntingdon; one son, Ronald Warbritton of Nashville; one sister, Jean Gooch of Burns; one brother, Eldon Roark of Nashville; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Chase Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jennifer Ruth Cantrell
1954-2004
MILAN:
Services for Jennifer Ruth Cantrell, 50, were conducted on Saturday, September 4 at the Chase Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ernest Parvin and Bro. David Bayer officiating. Interment followed in the Oakwood Cemetery in Milan.
Mrs. Cantrell, an employee of Milan Express Company, died on Friday, September 3 at her home.
She was born July 26, 1954 in South Fulton to the late Charles and Ruth Goodman Ross. She was a long-time employee of the Henry I. Siegel Co. where she was a merchandise buyer and coordinator for the outlet stores. She was a member of the Milan First Baptist Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star Adah Chapter #314 in Bruceton.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Cantrell; two sons, Anthony Thompson of Buena Vista and Trey Cantrell of Martin; one stepdaughter, Candi Wilson of Jackson; three brothers, Mitchell Moss and Mike Moss, both of South Fulton and Barry Moss of Bruceton; and four step-grandchildren.

Jean Pruitt
1922-2004
HIGHLAND, INDIANA:
Graveside services for Jean Pruitt, 83, were on Saturday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hebron Cemetery with Dr. William P. Bailey, Jr. officiating.
Mrs. Pruitt died on Tuesday, August 31 in Indiana.
Survivors include one daughter, Denise Burkhalter of Indiana; two sons, James G. Pruitt of Huntingdon and Merle Perdue of Hollow Rock.

Odell Bell
1926-2004
MCLEMORESVILLE:
Services for Odell Bell, 78, were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4 at the McLemoresville Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America.
Mr. Bell, a retired farmer and employee of Milan Army Ammunition Plant, died on Saturday, August 28 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Bell of McLemoresville; two sons, Dr. Kenneth Wayne Bell of Dover, Delaware and Dwight Elliott Bell of Hartsville; two sisters, Mozelle Colbert of Detroit, Michigan and Barbara Roper of McKenzie; one brother, Johnnie Bell of McLemoresville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Rawls Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Alex Patten Edwards
1927-2004
GLEASON:
Services for Alex Patten Edwards, 77, were held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8 at Gleason First Baptist Church. Interment followed at Hopewell Cemetery.
Mr. Edwards, a retired superintendent of public works and retired fire chief for the City of Gleason, died on Sunday, September 5 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.
Survivors include his wife, Sue M. Edwards, three daughters, Valerie Edwards of Memphis, Janine Kemp of Paris and Tracey Greer of Gleason; one sister, Nanette Edwards of Memphis; one brother, Harry M. Edwards of Greenfield; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gleason Community Center.
Gallimore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Martha Ercelle Dunn
1916-2004
MCKENZIE
: Services for Martha Ercelle Dunn, 88, will be held on Wednesday, September 8 at McKenzie First Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Bro. Dennis Trull officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Mrs. Dunn, a retired employee of Sears, died at the Med in Memphis on Sunday, September 5.
She was born in Weakley County on May 3, 1916 to the late Rebecca Lancaster Dunn and James H. Ross. Her husband, Reba Tipton Dunn preceded her in death. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of McKenzie.
Survivors include one son, Reba Ray Dunn of Madison, Alabama and one grandchild.

Eulene C. Jones
1922-2004
TREZEVANT:
Services for Eulene C. Jones, 81, were at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 7 at the First Baptist Church in Trezevant with Bro. Malcolm Norton officiating. Interment followed in Pisgah Cemetery in Atwood.
Mrs. Jones, retired from ITT in Milan, died on Sunday, September 5 at Methodist Hospital in McKenzie.
She was born October 24, 1922 in Trezevant to the late Nora Ford Cantrell and Ephram Cantrell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Jones. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Trezevant.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Hampton of Huntingdon and Lois Baker of Trezevant; five grandchildren, Tina Baker, Steven Baker, Brian Baker, Jared Hampton and David Hampton and four great-grandchildren, Allysa Baker, Sarina Baker, Nicholas Baker and Angel Crocker.
